attenuators
attenuators:
Radio overload is to be EXPECTED when you get close to a fox. That beam won't help you at all if every
direction you point it gives the same reading (9+) on the radio. You need to find a way to reduce the
incoming signal enough to get some movement on your meter, even when very close to a transmitter.
This may be as simple as unhooking the antenna, or using a switchable attenuator. The preferred method
however will be to use an "offset attenuator", which can provide very large attenuation at the cost of being
less sensitive and a little inconvenient to use.
